We all know how annoying it can become when you’re trying to enjoy your beer but the coaster doesn’t seem to want to stay on the bar. Here’s a little video by Civilization of Beer’s founder Samuel Merritt showing how shaking a little salt onto the coaster stops that sticky problem. Even though I’m sure a lot of you experts already know this tip, I was wondering if there are any bartenders out there who have any thoughts on this trick? Is it adding time and effort to your already hectic routine to have to clean up all that salt, or do you think the end justifies the means for a non-sticky coaster with your beer? Let’s discuss!
